TRA Honored for Fiscal Excellence

Several local and national organizations have honored TRA for excellence in financial stewardship.

The national Public Pension Coordinating Council (PPCC) awarded TRA its Public Pension Standards Award for Funding and its Public Pension Standards Award for Funding and Administration for 2021. The PPCC is a confederation of the National Association of State Retirement Administrators (NASRA), the National Conference on Public Employee Retirement Systems (NCPERS) and the National Council on Teacher Retirement (NCTR).

The Government Finance Officers Association (GFOA) has awarded TRA its Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting for the fiscal year ended June 30, 2021. This is the 23rd consecutive year that TRA has received the GFOA’s achievement certificate. The Certificate of Achievement is the highest form of recognition in the area of governmental accounting and financial reporting, and its attainment represents a significant accomplishment by a government and its management.

In addition, the Minnesota Office of the Legislative Auditor in December issued a “clean” audit opinion with regard to the fairness and material accuracy of the fiscal year 2021 TRA financial statements.
