Data Practices Officer – Strategic Planning Department

Salary range: $85,315 - $123,338 annually
TRA is hiring one (1) Data Practice Officer position at our St. Paul location. Job candidates with a background in data analysis, data governance, and/or data program management skills are strongly encouraged to apply. Our Data Practices Officer position exists to provide leadership for the data privacy, data practices, records management, and document retention responsibilities of TRA. The position will be responsible for the supervision of TRA Records and Data Management systems, evaluating the effectiveness of current practices and recommending revisions when appropriate; and developing the processes used to gather and share data. This role will also enforce compliance with related laws including the Minnesota Government Data Practices Act, and oversee public data requests. Lastly, the incumbent hired into this position will serve as a resource for managers, supervisors, and employees regarding data maintained by TRA, and will develop and maintain a data practices training program for all employees.
This position may be eligible for a work schedule that includes some teleworking. Additionally, the incumbent hired into this position must also possess the ability to secure their own transportation for in-state business travel. Travel may be required up to 10% of the time for this role.

Retirement Services Representatives – Member Services Department

Salary range: $50,070 - $72,432 annually
TRA is hiring two (2) Retirement Services Representative positions at our St. Paul location. Job candidates with strong communication, interpersonal, and mathematical skills are encouraged to apply. These positions are part of TRA’s Member Services phone center and exist to help educators understand the value of retirement planning specific to TRA benefits. These positions will primarily deliver available benefit information and options to Minnesota public school educators and their beneficiaries by phone, chat, and/or email. Additionally, the incumbents in these roles will be further required to perform a variety of calculations, both routine and complex.
The roles are telework eligible; however, incumbents must work a full-time in-person schedule for at least the first six (6) months to complete mandatory training. Thereafter, the positions are anticipated to follow a designated hybrid work schedule based on business need and performance.
TRA prioritizes work-life balance for our employees and may request, only on occasion, that staff work overtime and/or flex their time in order to complete critical projects or meet important deadlines. Typically, full-time, non-exempt employees at TRA work a 40-hour workweek.
