Annual reports
Each fiscal year, TRA releases its Annual Comprehensive Financial Report (ACFR), Popular Annual Financial Report (PAFR), and Actuarial Valuation Funding Report. These documents provide actuarial, investment, statistical, and other related information about TRA.
Organizations produce their ACFR documents for regulatory compliance, and the reports also play a key role in ensuring transparency and emphasizing accountability. TRA’s ACFR is reviewed by external entities including the State of Minnesota’s Office of the Legislative Auditor. The ACFR offers complete, reliable data that the TRA Board of Trustees, TRA staff, elected officials, and the public can use to evaluate TRA’s financial health. The PAFR is a condensed version of the ACFR that summarizes its key information.
Actuarial valuations provide a summary of TRA’s funding status. These valuations are produced by TRA’s actuarial consultants. Valuations include information on necessary funding levels, employer/employee contributions, and estimated future obligations.
